This historic television music event, owned by World Events LLC, a company formed by David Gest and the late Michael Jackson, went on to become one of the highest-rated musical specials in television history.

At the time of its broadcast, MICHAEL JACKSON: 30 TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, THE SOLO YEARS, earmarked the “King Of Pop’s” first live US performance in nearly 11 years and the first reunion with his brothers in 17 years. According to Nielsen Media Research, an estimated 45 million people watched all or part of the CBS special when it first aired.
Acknowledging the historical achievements and stardom of Motown’s Jackson Five, Michael and his brothers perform such hits as “ABC,” “The Love You Save,” “I’ll Be There,” and “I Want You Back,” and are joined by *NSYNC for the finale with their hit, “Dancing Machine.”
