MUMBAI: Save the occasional blip, Radio Mirchi appears to be holding sway over the top position in the four metros. Week 28 has been no different. Mirchi consolidated its position across the metros, although Big FM came close to touching the topper in Kolkata and Bangalore. In Mumbai, erstwhile leader Red stayed a notch behind Mirchi, still unable to bridge the gap that was forged a couple of months ago.
Bangalore: In the garden city, Mirchi lost 1.9 percentage points, but still managed to stay ahead of the game with a share of 18.2 per cent. In the second spot, Big FM lost 0.1 percentage points but held on to a share of 17.2 per cent, while Fever came in third with a share of 14.5 per cent, having gained 0.8 percentage points. Radio City, All India Radio’s Rainbow FM and SFM followed in that order.
Delhi: In the capital, Fever clawed its way back to the second spot having gained 1.2 percentage points, earning a market share of 18.5 per cent, and staying ahead of AIR’s Gold FM which had a share of 14.9 per cent. Mirchi however ruled in Delhi too, with a share of 22.9 per cent, despite having lost 2.3 percentage points. Red FM stayed a distant fourth, with a share of 9.2 per cent, in spite of having gained 0.4 percentage points. Radio City was close behind with a share of 8.7 per cent, having gained 0.1 percentage points. Big FM, Radio One and Meow followed, in that order.

Kolkata: In Kolkata too, Big FM with a share of 16.1 (having gained 0.8 percentage points) came close to the leader Mirchi which boasted a share of 18.6 per cent, having lost 0.5 percentage points. Friends FM stayed at third position with a share of 13.5 per cent, having gained 1.1 percentage points. Aamar, Red FM and Fever followed, in that order.
Mumbai: Mirchi widened its lead over arch rival Red FM a wee bit more in week 28, with a share of 17.5 per cent, despite losing 0.7 percentage points. Red FM lost 1.4 percentage points to end with a share of 14.7 per cent. AIR’s FM Gold stayed stuck at number three with a share of 13.6 per cent, having gained 2 percentage points. Big FM, Fever, Radio City and Radio One followed, in that order.
