MUMBAI: If you mute the volume while watching a suspense or horror flick, you’d probably end up laughing instead of getting scared – working on background score is no joke!
Raju Rao, who has worked on several films like Raaz, Murder and 1920, recently composed the background score of an international film ‘Where are you Sophia?’ that premiered at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.
Speaking about the music of the film, Raju Rao says, “For this film, I didn’t do frame to frame music- sometimes ‘less’ is more. I only punctuated at the points which I needed to do.” After working on films like Raaz, Murder and 1920, supernatural thrillers and suspense are his forte, he feels.
