Muntashir said it was the ‘memories’ that came to his mind while writing the song.
“It was windy and raining heavily, when me and my then-girlfriend locking eyes while holding an umbrella. Suddenly, our umbrella flew and we were dancing in the rain. This memory flashed in my mind and I thought if I put this particular incident in the song, it would turn out to be amazing. This was a little difficult but the end result was beautiful,” he shared.
He further added, “My homework is not about writing, but connecting the dots, connecting this tune to something that has happened in my life in the past. Hence, I dug my past and finally got a connection.”
Muntashir, therefore, found the exact tune after listening to it again and again.
“That tune spoke to me and I was like this is what we all wanted,” exclaimed the Tere Sang Yaara fame.
Further, Woh Baarishein came to Manoj Muntashir as a good connect, “Very rarely a tune comes across, which comes with its own set of emotions. Arjun had done his magic and his emotion was apt with the tune. If I write something, I will get my pathos in it. I wrote something and Arjun liked it. Also, Vinit Thakkar has got such musical ears that he said, ‘with all due respect this is not what I expected from Manoj Muntashir’. I was taken aback.”
Lastly, speaking about his upcoming projects, Muntashir shared, “My next single is in collaboration with my production house. Also, I would be writing for Saina Nehwal’s biopic, Ajay Devgan’s next film, Pride of India and more.”
