MUMBAI: Award-winning singer/songwriter Shahin Badar – of â€?the Prodigy’ fame – has been nominated for best alternative act for the Asian Music Awards (AMAS) 2009.
Best known for her spine-tingling vocals on the Prodigy’s â€?Smack my Bitch up’ smash-hit1, Shahin returns to the music scene, for the first time in two years after recovering from serious illness, with the release of her debut solo album â€?Laila’.
