MUMBAI: Many Indian musicians and songs have come under the radar of the world music police for taking tunes from international songs and Pritam remains on the top of the list. But, recently an Indian song has been copied by an international musician!
Well, if reports are to be believed, American rapper T-Pain, whose single, That’s Yo Money has been blocked by YouTube owing to plagiarism of musical content. The melody of this surprise track bears exact resemblance with superhit Bollywood song, Tum Hi Ho, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, which is from the blockbuster movie, Aashiqui 2.
The rapper had released the song on 14 December about which he had tweeted on his social media handle.

But Mithoon, who is the music composer of the song took no time in catching that his original composition was copied by T-Pain and he replied to the rapper’s tweet.

Mithoon’s fans also tweeted support for him. But, the rapper found excuses to cover up his mistake and blamed the producer of the song for everything in his tweet and his ‘brown twitter’ comment was quite racial towards Indians, which did grab criticism for racist remarks.

Many Indian musicians supported Mithoon and replied to T-Pain’s tweet, criticising the American rapper for copying a famous Indian song as well as for racist comments.

Thus, after coming across plagiarism, YouTube has blocked That’s Yo Money from the online video streaming platform.
Well, seems like T-Pain’s racial comments couldn’t save him from facing the wrath of plagiarism as his song landed in soup, thus losing race to the original Indian number that had touched global hearts.
We, therefore, advice T-Pain to make some original music just like the original colour of our Indian clan, which stands out like our world famous music.
