MUMBAI: Mumbai was up and running on January 18, 2009, in Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. After the dastardly attacks on 26/11 a strong message sent out to the world Mumbai is safe…. â€?Mumbai runs to secure its future’ campaign is an attempt by Radio Mirchi 98.3FM to motivate and guide all its listeners to participate in the great run.
Radio Mirchi’s â€?Mumbai runs to secure its future’ campaign kick started with a contest where entries were invited for a slogan. In which to participate, listeners had to simply tune into Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and send in their entries to â€?58888′.The best entry which Radio Mirchi received through this contest was AB RAHA NA KOI DARR. TU UTH, AUR DAUD MUMBAIKAR….
To encourage participation, along with sharing tips on the DO’s and DON’Ts for the race Radio Mirchi also aired bytes of celebrities and other participants on their fitness regime. On the day of the event Radio Mirchi also captured the on–ground excitement and encouraged listeners to come and participate in the run. For the other listeners, Radio Mirchi RJ’s provided live updates on the proceedings in Radio Mirchi music taxis.

To keep the up the momentum Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM also developed a special song, which was dedicated to all participants. The song produced at Radio Mirchi studio has been sung by Claver, the lead guitarist of the band Zedde and a producer in Radio Mirchi. The lyrics are as below
