Mumbai: Indians have a plethora of abusive words in the various languages, existing in the country. But, that one swear word, abusing sisters, is common across the country. Hence, to prevent people from saying it, singer Bhoomi Trivedi joined many other celebs in a campaign held on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, held yesterday.
Giving a strong message, during the campaign, Bhoomi Trivedi said, “Do you guys abuse your sisters? No. Then why use ‘behen ki gaali’. Pledge that this Raksha Bandhan you will stop using ‘Behen Ki Gaali’.”
Brainchild of Proton Communications, the campaign had various other celebrities, besides Bhoomi.

It was a good idea and a great time to roll out the message. A high traffic area like Andheri station was the perfect place for the campaign as there are a lot of footfalls of the suburban train and metro travellers. We plan to take the #SpeakRight campaign to newer heights going forward with more places to activate.”
Meanwhile, Bhoomi is all geared up for the upcoming kids’ music reality show, Love Me India, where she will be one of the mentors. Guru Randhawa, Neha Bhasin and Himesh Reshammiya will be judging the show that will be aired from September on &TV.
