MUMBAI: Purva Mantri, who is known for her famous serial tracks like Balika Vadhu, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and cover versions like Kangana, is back with a bang.
Her recent remake version of Sanu Ek Pal Reloaded will surely mesmerize you. The track has received immense love from the audience as the video has grabbed a whopping four million views in just few days.
Speaking about the song, she said, “Sanu Ek Pal is already a beautiful song, which is sung, originally, by Rahat Fateh Ali Khanji. Since it is his song, he’s done it beautifully, but I also saw many YouTube versions of the track, from the movie Raid. I and Ramji Gulati, thus, reached to a point that we are going to do Sanu Ek Pal in a different way, but keeping that mark of ‘Purva Mantri’. I always bring something unique and that’s a signature about me.”

“We have shot the whole song in Thailand and we always wanted to shoot it in a grand way. In terms of music, it’s been kept simple and beautiful, not used many musical instruments. Also, the lyrics penned by Ramji Gulati are in a Punjabi Sufi zone, which will connect people easily,” said Mantri
She further defines her music taste, “Sufi’s do inspire me and that is my music taste. I do listen to Nusratji, Rahatji, Shubha Mudgal and get inspired a lot by them. Although I sing for Bollywood songs, but my mom is a classical singer and I have always had that ‘music atmosphere’.”
Purva Mantri has also featured in the track, about which, she adds, “The location was super grand and the director did a wonderful job as he made me look very beautiful. We shot in sunny days and everything worked well for me. I had actually gone there for an event when I heard the music. Immediately I told Ramji that the music is superb and suggested that we should shoot the video there. Overall it was a wonderful experience.”
She further revealed that she would be having her new song releasing soon, which would include her collaboration with a legendary singer.
