MUMBAI: Indian DJ-Producer duo Rave & Crave comprising of Virat Munjal and Lavya Gulati from New Delhi are taking the electronic music scene by storm across the world. Their recently released collaboration TAJ with BLR which was released on Spinnin’ Records, the biggest dance music label in the world has amassed over 15 million views on YouTube. The song also has over 3.5 Million streams on Spotify, a platform which is almost nonexistent in India. The song also claimed the 11th Spot on Beatport Future house tracks.
TAJ has been supported by big guns like Tiesto, Don Diablo, Martin Garrix, Avicii, Nicky Romero to name a few. It was also streamed on the Ultra Music Festival Live stream.
Speaking of the massive reception of the track by audiences globally, Virat Munjal one half of Rave & Crave says, “TAJ is an energy delivering record with a glorious and beautiful synth lead that pleases big time. The fact that we have been supported by over 60 established artists across the world is very overwhelming for us. The reception of the song by audiences globally has been amazing. We get mailers everyday telling us how much the people have loved the song. Infact, we also got a lot of fan videos dancing to TAJ and they were super cool. We are already working on more releases and hope everyone loves them too.”

On the collaboration and the future plan Lavya Gulati feels that, “We had an amazing time collaborating with BLR. He is a great guy with very exciting thought process. We are now working towards infusing future bass and future sounds sound with Hindi vocals as this is the direction that music in our country will take in the near future. We are working closely with our management, Bass Kulture to explore the possibilities of collaborating with Bollywood singers to create a new sound.”
Having already toured extensively across the country playing major festivals and colleges, the DJ duo are now looking to spread their wings by touring internationally.
Speaking about touring, Rajat Mahajan from Bass Kulture adds “We have been getting a lot of booking requests from promoters internationally. The track has done really well in Europe and America. We are super stoked with the progress and we will be announcing international tours soon.”
Sidhartha Todi from Bass Kulture adds, “These boys are just 22 years old and are already making India proud globally. The track has been a massive hit and is only second to Nucleya to hit over 10 Million views on a non Bollywood dance music track.
