MUMBAI: Those who were among the final 42 bands or musicians featured at Stupiditties 9 could possibly participate in 2015’s ‘New Wave Musicfest: Fresh Asian Indie & Punk Music’. The new compilation album- ‘Stupiditties: 9 Lives. 1 Death. Big F*ck’, was recently released by ennui.BOMB.
Commenting on the compilation, founder of ennui.BOMB, Rishu Singh said, “This edition we had 260 musicians/bands that sent in their entries. We listen to all of the entries; however, we manage to select 42 names out of those for the compilation.” The 2004-founded independent music label, has been releasing compilation like this since 2006, and Singh claims that he has been putting it together every year without any help. The album is produced by ennui.BOMB, and is available on its website for free download.

When quizzed if the artists from the compilation album will make it to this edition of New Wave Musicfest, Singh said, “Mostly yes, the bands will make to the fest.” The last edition of Stupiditties was released on 14 November 2014 worldwide, while CDs for the same were released at the fest. However, no details for this year’s edition have been announced as yet.
The art and design of Stupiditties 9 is by Denver Fernandes. The launch gig for Stupiditties 9, took place at Brewbot and featured performances by Awkward Bong, Laxmi Bomb, Tejas, Punk On Toast, Mc Kaur and Oak Island.
