MUMBAI: IndiEarth forges forward on its mission to provide a stage for a vibrant live independent music scene in Chennai and will be hosting two gig nights in the city this Saturday, 4th July – one at The Park Chennai (IndiEarth At The Park) featuring Madley Blues and SHFT_, and one at Tango in The Legends Hotel (Live! At Tango) featuring Peter Cat Recording Company and Sapta launching their latest albums.
IndiEarth At The Park this weekend presents Madley Blues – a two piece band that came together to explore new dimensions of sound, and found themselves at the cross roads between different traditions, genres and forms of music. The act has also collaborated with the likes of M. S. Viswanathan, Shankar Mahadevan, and Keith Peters and will be performing at the Lobby Stage of The Park Chennai at 9pm.
On the more electronic side of the sound spectrum is SHFT_, a Delhi based DJ/Producer who spins a mean blend of house and techno, influenced by strong grooves and hypnotic elements. He will hit the decks at the Leather Bar at 10:30 pm
