MUMBAI: Digital media, distribution and talent management platform ArtistAloud.com has continued to promote independent artists and nurture talent, since its inception. And through its digital music awards and independent music honours, Artist Aloud Music Awards (AAMA) will soon felicitate the best independent artists and music released by them.
Since its inception in 2010, Artist Aloud has continued to drive this award as a consumer voting led activity to encourage global music talents, while involving music lovers and getting them to vote for their favourite artists. With the growing number of talented singers and musicians, Artist Aloud is all set to honour and acknowledge the efforts of almost 200 artists from India as well as other international countries. The public voting process will be open from 8th – 22nd April and 29th April – 6th May, exclusively on ArtistAloud.com, powered by Hungama.
Commenting on the awards, Artist Aloud VP Soumini Sridhara Paul said, “It has been our endeavour to promote and appreciate the talents in the independent music segment. We as a country are huge music lovers with a pool of talented artists and at Artist Aloud we provide an exclusive platform to these artists to reach out to millions of fans across the globe.”

The different music categories include pop, rock, fusion and global music. The awards will have four categories like ‘Best Song’, ‘Best Male’, ‘Best Female’ and ‘Best Group’ in the public voting section and eight categories like ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Video’, ‘Best Lyricist’, ‘Best Composer’, ‘Best Genre’, ‘Best Language’, ‘Best Sound’ and ‘Best Live Performer’ in the Jury voting section. The jury will include Times Music COO Mandar Thakur, Universal Music and EMI MD Devraj Sanyal, Music critic and industry veteran Parag Kamani, Crescendo Music MD Suresh Thomas, Fluence @ CA Media VP digital and business head Ashish Joshi, 9XO channel head Luke Kenny, Indiantelevision.com founder, CEO and editor-in-chief Anil Wanvari, HR Musik Ltd CEO Andy Singh, National award winning music producer and engineer K.J. Singh, and Turnkey Music and Publishing Ltd MD Atul Churamani.
The final awards will be held on 18th May 2015 from 10 am to 10 pm on ArtistAloud.com and multiple social engagement sites where every hour, an award winner will be declared.
This year the 4th edition of the Artist Aloud Music Awards, powered by Hungama, will be supported by television partner 9xO, radio partner Red FM, online media partner Radioandmusic.com along with Actfaqs as online promotional partner and gratification partner Giftxoxo.
