MUMBAI: The GiMA Awards 2015 were graced with the crème de la crème of the music and film fraternity of India. The ceremony hosted by Mika Singh and Manish Paul featured stellar performances by celebrated musicians and Bollywood stars.Arjun Kapoor, took to the stage with a guitar as he made his entry rapping and singing ‘Tu Ne Maari Entry’ to the audiences amusement.
The chemistry between Manish and Mika was phenomenal and the duo held the audience in splits throughout the evening. The ceremony was almost jeopardized as an imposter of Mika tied to take his place on the GiMA stage only to be thwarted by the real Mika.
There was a special performance where Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sapna Mukherji and Nitin Mukesh among several other stalwarts of the industry paid tribute to Anandji Virji Shah who received the Lifetime Achievement Award – Popular.
