MUMBAI: American DJ-producer Diplo along with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, comprising the music project Major Lazer, is in India for his three-city tour. Along with this tour, the trio is busy shooting a music video for their upcoming album.
The three DJs are together, working on two albums, out of which one album is scheduled to release by February 2015 and the second one will be out in September the same year. Each album will have eight tracks. Recently, the mixing and mastering for the first album was completed.
Major Lazer is in India for the first time, from 12 to 14 December 2014 for VH1 Supersonic Arcade, organised in partnership with Oji. The Major Lazer India tour will take place in Mumbai (12 December), Delhi (13 December) and Bangalore (14 December).

Diplo said, “Many acts have been coming to India and we are happy that we got to be part of that. We plan to come back to Indian again. It will be after our next records.” He added that Major Lazer would have more tours in 2016.
Diplo, who recently released a successful track (Dirty Vibes) with Skrillex, will be seen working on many other projects with him. The songwriter/ producer said, “We have been working together for a while now. We have been working on many tacks, so you will see us collaborate on more projects. Our collaborative tracks will be released next year.”
When quizzed about working on any project with his rumoured beau, Katy Perry, Diplo said, “My priorities have always been making music and you never know what is coming out.”
Diplo is known for his collaborations with Usher, MIA, Madonna, Nicki Minaj amongst the others. His upcoming album will include Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani and others.
