MUMBAI: After a rather long wait, British rock band Radiohead is finally back in the studio, recording a brand new album. In a recent interview with BBC’s David Prever, the band’s keyboardist/guitarist Johnny Greenwood confirmed the news, stating that the band was working on a follow-up album after its 2011 release ‘King of Limbs’.
“We’re currently playing and recording and it’s fun to see everyone again, it’s been a long time coming, we’ve been waiting all of us for a long time,” he said during the interview, and descried the band’s current sessions like “fumbling”.
Greenwood added that the ‘High and Dry’ hitmakers were trying different approaches to their new album. He continued, “I always feel as when we start up like we still don’t know really how to do it, and we don’t know quite what to do. ‘Looking down avenues’ is a very kind way of putting the kind of fumbling that we do, mainly because every time we try and do it like the last time because that worked, it never seems to work.”

Post the release of ‘King of Limbs’, Radiohead’s members have been pursuing personal projects. In 2012 Greenwood composed the score for the film ‘The Master’. Meanwhile, lead singer Thom Yorke, who in 2009 formed another band- Atoms for Peace, released the band’s debut album ‘Amok’ in February 2013 and Phil Selway (drummer) released his second solo album earlier this October.
