MUMBAI: It was not long ago that Shruti Pathak’s band Guzzler commenced its journey by releasing their first single ‘Sawalaat’. The ‘Criminal’ singer is on cloud nine as she received an amazing response from the industry and her fans. This has encouraged her to release another single in a short span of time.
“I was extremely delighted when the stalwarts from the industry appreciated my work. Also, I would love to thank my fans, who kept on messaging me via social networking sites and rendered their support whole heartedly. They would often ask me about the release of my next single, so here I have a piece of good news for them. I shall release my new single next month,” said the ‘Shubhaarambh’ singer to Radioandmusic.com.
When asked how different would her next single be as compared to the previous one, she explained, “The band Guzzler is more about me. It is my canvas painted with my colours, so for me it is important to be original than being different.”

Recently, the singer –lyricist also crooned a number for the song ‘Haseena Tu Kameena Mein’ for the film ‘Happy Ending’. The music of the film is composed by Sachin Jigar and lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Along with Pathak, the song has vocals of Siddharth Basrur and Rahul Pandey. While elaborating on the brief given to her for the song by the composer duo, she said, “I was just asked to feel the song and follow the lyrics. The song is more of a flirty number, so I was asked to sing accordingly.”
She always wished to work with the music composer duo Sachin Jigar. “I am friends with Sachin and Jigar and always loved their music. But we never got a chance to work together until recently,” said Pathak.
