MUMBAI: LA’s king of pop perversion Ariel Pink returns with his new album ‘Pom Pom’, with its second offering in the form of new wave-flavoured ‘Black Ballerina’.
Spanning 17 tracks and 69 minutes, ‘Pom Pom’ is unfiltered Ariel, a pied piper of the absurd, with infectious tales of romance, murder, frog princes and Jell-O. With the Los Angeles native striking it out alone and returning to the solo moniker he has adopted for well over a decade, the album could very well be Ariel Pink’s magnum opus.
Ariel will bring his new seven-person strong band to perform at London’s Scala on the day of the album’s UK release – 17 November and announced on 21 October his first 2015 North American tour dates. This tour will conclude with Ariel’s biggest NYC headlining show to date, at Terminal 5.
