MUMBAI: Kolkata headquartered company releaseMyAd has introduced a new online platform- releaseMyAd.fm, which will allow brands that have budget constrains explore the opportunities available through Radio. For the 2009 established company, this radio platform will be the start of its long term plan to add many new products in a similar manner soon.
Speaking about the online platform that allows businesses to advertise across 24 radio channels in around 86 cities in India, releaseMyAd business head (Digital) Sharad Lunia said, “In today’s time, Radio has a wider reach unlike other media. All the media will be relevant in the future but one needs to explore the opportunities radio provides to brands today.”
The platform offers an online advertising solution with the mix of media planning and buying, jingle production and reporting services that are tailored uniquely for different business categories. This will in a way help brands have an effective radio campaign with radio jingles and specific ads.

He further added, “The idea is that we want to be here way before Phase III happens for the simple reason that it will expand the reach of radio automatically. The idea is that Phase III is only an asset for us to leverage further off the power of radio, which will be wide spread across the country.” In Phase III, an additional 839 channels across 294 cities will be added, allowing new businesses that revolve around radio to grow.
Lunia said that Phase III will happen sooner or later and stations will expand in smaller towns and small populations will have a chance to access private FM stations. This would make it important for releaseMyAd.fm to enable businesses with minimal budgets to advertise on radio.
The service has been operational in beta over the last few months and has already successfully generated revenues above 28 lakhs. Some of the major clients include well known start-ups such as: Knowlarity Communications, Craftsvilla.com, Housing.com, 3sIndia. It has been partnered with Radio networks like Radio City, Red FM, Radio Mirchi and BIG FM.
