MUMBAI: Popular Electronic Dance Music DJ Avicii was recently hospitalised, leading to him pulling out of his performance at the SLS South Beach in Miami. The show was scheduled on 27 March, but was called off a little before he could take the stage. However, reports state that the Swedish DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, was later discharged. There is no news yet as to the cause of his hospitalisation.
News of Avicii’s hospitalisation came as a surprise, considering the chart topping DJ was set to perform a few hours before it show could start. DJ Cassette was on hand to break the news to the crowd present at the venue of the DJ’s sudden trip to the hospital.
The cancelled show is part of a five-night set that is taking place at the Miami hotel. The superstar DJ is also scheduled to headline the Miami Ultra Music festival, which will be taking place on 28 March.

The 55 year old pop supserstar took to her Twitter account earlier this month and posted pictures of her with the 24 year old DJ. She also informed fans that the two had written a number of great songs together.
