MUMBAI: Alternative Rock band Red Seems Right is a bunch of college going students who are almost done with their academic exams. But they are preparing hard for their act under Live For The Console (LFTC).
Last year, the band had got in touch with the LFTC team so that they could get a chance to play in the last edition but it didn’t materialise untill this year, when the opportunity finally presented itself. The band comprises five members, namely Siddhant Bhosle (lead vocals and guitar), Rohan Rao (lead guitar), Tuhin Mukherjee (vocals and guitar), Samay Lalwani (drums and percussions) Nathan Patra (Bass guitar and Vocals) and Supratik Subramanian (Tech and Drums). Amidst their jamming session Radioandmusic.com speaks with Bhosle, who recollects, “We have been there for the couple of earlier Live For The Console editions, it was very entertaining. Now, we got to play and we are definitely going to play our original track along with two covers of other artistes, based on the demand from the audiences.” On Saturday the band, like the other artistes will be playing a 45-minute set.
He expresses his band as a ‘Species of Rock’. “The type of music we play makes us come under alternative rock genre of music. But I firmly believe that we come under rock category,” explains the lead vocalist.
The band already has seven original songs to their credit and two more are in the making. A couple of months back; they had unveiled a single titled ‘Make me believe’. Two other singles that are recorded in the studio are ‘Revive’ and ‘Competition’. When asked if they plan on releasing an album, he replies, “Not thought about it. Making good music is our criteria.”
The Band has so far performed for colleges festivals like Malhar 2012 and Kaleidoscope 2012.
