OA: The last day of Vh1 Supersonic witnessed an amazing gig of one of the members of Above and Beyond’s- Tony McGuinness.
Talking to Radioandmusic.com’s Dhairya Ingle he said that the visit to India is always special. “The thought itself is very exciting. We always had a spiritual link to this place. It is a country which is changing so fast.”
The last time he came to India was in 2007. Commenting on the current scenario of EDM in India, he said, “We did not have any beach parties back then. Now it is just crazy.”

He loves everything about India, from the food to the weather. He goes on to say that, “The people in India respect the opinions of others which is a lesson for all of us. I learnt that if we approach people to have a dialogue, then the world would be a better place to live in. I think India has the most religious and cultural differences in the country itself.”
Amongst the cities he has visited, McGuinness loves Goa. It was the curator of the Supersonic festival, Nihil Chinappa who invited him for the festival. “For me it has been a long time since I have been working with Nikhil. I believe he is one guy in India who actually knows the dynamics of the business. Be it the sound or the production, he masters the art.”
