MUMBAI: Percussionist Sivamani is showing his unusual side to the music fraternity as he is now donning the role of a music director in Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming film ‘Arima Nambi’ which will be directed by Anand Shankar. The film stars Prabhu and Priya Anand in lead roles. It will have five tracks.
Speaking with Radioandmusic.com Sivamani says, “I am going to record tracks in Los Angeles as I am going there for a tour and then later I will record in Chennai. I have known the producer for a long time and this will be Anand’s directorial debut also. The tracks are completely based on the movie.”
Sivamani adds, “Everybody thinks that a drummer will make only tracks based on drums but there is a side in my heart that makes melody tunes also. People will enjoy the melody that will come from my heart.”
