MUMBAI: Big FM network programming head Manav Dhanda has quit the organization after a brief stint of seven months.
Confirming the news with Radioandmusic.com, Dhanda said, “Yes I have quit the organization last month and it was purely a personal decision. I have had a pleasant experience at the organization and am now on a break.”
He is currently an advisor to a number of start-ups, including Yowoto and the yet to launch Getstealdeal.
He added, “During the time, I am consulting with a lot of start-ups and talks are on for future ventures as well. My core focus in the long term will remain television and radio. I have been with Yowoto for a while now. They have recently got some funding and are expected to grow leaps. I am also acting as an advisor for Getstealdeal, which will launch soon.”
With around 15 years of experience in the field, Dhanda joined Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL) as SVP, Big FM in 2006. In 2008, he moved on to Big Broadcasting, where he spent another year with the company.
He then moved on to WorldBand Media as COO and director where he worked for over three years. He moved back to RBNL in 2012 as network programming head: term consultant.
Prior to RBNL, he has also worked at Midi Tech, Radio Mirchi and Sony Entertainment Television.
