The track is penned by Carter and Sia and is produced by Hit-Boy and Chase N Cashe. It will be released by Columbia Records.
Beyoncé has also dubbed her voice for the leader of this magical world – Queen Tara in the film. “I literally had tears when I played the voice,” Beyonce told The Associated Press in an interview between concerts in London. “There was a scene where Queen Tara picks out her pod and I just imagined seeing my child.”
Rock legend Steven Tyler has also given his voice in this animation film along with Miami singer Pitbull. Other members of voice cast are Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, Aziz Ansari and Jason Sudeikis.
Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle between the forces of good, who keep the natural world alive, and the forces of evil, who wish to destroy it and a teenage girl. Produced by Twentieth Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios the film is slated to release on 24 May internationally.
Many artistes have picked up the trend of rendering for the animation films. Earlier, Toxic singer Britney Spears had also rendered a track titled ‘Ooh La La’ for an animated film The Smurfs 2.
