MUMBAI: Known for his chartbusting numbers and quality to court controversy, popular bollywood singer Mika Singh is now facing another tough situation. The Gurgaon district administration has sealed Singh’s farmhouse ‘King’s Jungle’ for blatantly violating wildlife norms.
As per reports, the administration has sealed the farmhouse located in Roz Ka Gujjar village along with many such illegal farmhouses in the same area. A state government spokesman stated that the farmhouses were illegally running small tourism units and other commercial activities.
The National Green Tribunal had ordered to conduct a survey in the particular belt after it raised objection to running of commercial activities in the village, saying that 75 per cent of the area falls under the forest land.

The spokesperson said, “As per the orders of Deputy Commissioner PC Meena, a team of local officers, including SDM (sub-divisional magistrate), Gurgaon South, Vivek Kalia, District Town PLanner Anil Dabas, Divisional Forest Officer Ranjeeta, officials of the revenue department and Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) with the help of police inspected the farm houses. On finding commercial activities there, these farm houses were sealed.”
PC Meena had reportedly directed district officials to inspect the village area in Sohna tehsil of the district for violations by illegal farm houses.
A Haryana government release stated that the borewells installed there were also demolished and the electricity connection was disconnected.
As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, the singer’s brother Daler Mehndi had also faced a similar controversy last month. Mehndi was in news for being dispossessed of 10 acres land at Sohna in Haryana by a sub-divisional magistrate court which also served him a 15-day notice for seizing another 100 acres of his farm house. The court gave the 10 acres land, seized from the singer, to the Sohna town municipal committee in Gurgaon district near Delhi.
In the light of tourism activities going on in the area, which is a non-forestry activity, notices were issued and the owners were asked to stop commercial activities. The statement also mentioned that if the owners were to take up such commercial activities again, further action including registering of FIR and other penal proceedings as per the order of Deputy Commissioner will be taken up against the violators.
