MUMBAI: Warner Music Group’s global publishing company Warner/Chappell Music bagged the Music Publisher of the Year award at the 32nd Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards in Toronto.
The award was voted by music industry experts, and highlights the strength of Warner/Chappell’s performance on the Canadian charts along with their ongoing worldwide success.

Following Warner/Chappell’s many successes in 2012, including being named Publisher of the Year at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, the company has continued to build momentum during the first three months of 2013.
At other events during the Canadian Music Week, Warner/Chappell songwriter Nate Ruess and his band fun continued their winning streak by taking home International Group of the Year at the Canadian Radio Music Awards and International Single Of The Year at the 13th Annual Independent Music Awards.
Apart from that, the company’s songwriters also won a host of awards at this year’s Grammy including ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Best New Artist’. While singers like Beyonce and Jay Z have signed contracts with the group, writers Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves, Ben Howard, Pablo Alborán and others have reached new heights of success.
Warner/Chappell’s achievements have also been marked by the Les Miserables soundtrack attaining massive success, and the company also signing new talent from across the world. Furthermore, they have also combined its music publishing synchronization team with the recorded music licensing department of Rhino Entertainment, to offer more evolved services to its catalogue of songwriters.
