MUMBAI: Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has now added another feather to his cap. Taking time out from the field, Indian cricketer Harbhajan has given out a very strong message in his Punjabi music video titled ‘Ek Suneha’.
The video beautifully portrays the moral values and high spiritual principles of Sikhism. It features Singh reciting a strong worded poetry showcasing ‘the real Punjabis and not what they are shown to be otherwise’. It also extols Sikh history’s saga of sacrifice and service to uphold humanity and brotherhood. The video is on Goyal Music and has music by Tejwant Kittu. Sanjay Glory has directed, written and conceived it.
Singh tweeted, “watch my first song ever sung by me on YouTube..type harbhajan singh-ik suneha..thanks alot for ur love and support guys…bless.”

His fellow cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli too supported him by promoting his song on the site and congratulating him. The song has already garnered massive popularity amongst his fans by attaining around 3,79,898 views in a span of two days.
Believing strongly in the poem, Singh further said, “For instance Jats are not people who fight, they are annadatas and play various other roles like that of a judge, farmer etc. It’s an important message for a lot of people who have been singing songs that don’t mean anything. Ashleel gaane are demeaning. People need to understand that we are responsible for what we say. Saaf gaao, acha gaao,” as per reports.
The cricketer and singer further tweeted, “2 lakh people saw and heard my Ek Suneha on YouTube in 36 hours. wow amazing. thanks guys.”
Apart from singing and playing for the Indian cricket team, Singh will now also be producing two Punjabi films which will feature Punjabi actors.
