MUMBAI: The fourth International Radio Festival (IRF) has announced the dates for its annual event, scheduled to be held from 4-8 September 2013 in Zurich, Switzerland.
The annual IRF B2B forum held during the festival has announced the initial list of speakers which music professionals from across the globe. Some of the names include MediaUK.com James Cridland, Tune-In Scott Fleischer, The Orchard Scott Cohen, Pop-Up Radio Paul Noble, Traxx Alexandre de Senger, Webdoc Olivier de Simone, LDR Interactive Victor Callabero, Shuffler.fm Tim Heineke, Mixcloud Nikhil Shah, Radio Express Christian Jones, Swiss Online Publishing Julian Schweizer and Laura Manners amongst others.
As part of the festival’s showcase, radio stations from across the world are invited to present a live show in the segment ‘Listen to how the world sounds’. The first list of guest radio stations feature BBC UK, DRS3 Switzerland, Antena 3 Portugal, Raadio 2 Estonia and Radio Wave Czech Republic.
IRF co-founders Darryl von Däniken and Miguel Alvarez said, “The International Radio Festival has been growing steadily over the years and gained particular attention over its pop-up edition in London during the 2012 Olympic Games. This year we are poised to go to the next level with excellent Radio Jockeys and industry speakers flying in from all parts of the world. We anticipate a sold-out audience.”
A host of radio stations from USA, South America, China and Russia will be announced later along with a second list of confirmed speakers for the event.
Founded in 2010, the IRF celebrates the world’s most consumed medium, Music Radio. It aims at bringing together radio professionals, record labels, music managers & agents, lifestyle brands/services and their marketing & advertising Agencies, media professionals and educational establishments to showcase some of the best music programmes, deliberate and collaborate, network and to discover trends about their industry.
