MUMBAI: Dilli hosted the premiere night of Radio Mirchi and Kingfisher Strong Power Soda’s ‘Mirchimix’, one of India’s biggest hunts for aspiring DJs. The call for entry phase received tremendous response. Delhi is one of the ten cities in which such City-Finales will be happening over the month, in which the top 3 DJ battled it out to be crowned the City Winner.
DJ Barkha showed the most promising talent in Delhi, when she wooed the young audience with her groovy music and scintillating tunes, though DJ Rohit Pandey and DJ Prasant Kumar Patra also showed tremendous talent.
By no means an easy task, the three DJs had to impress a panel of renowned judges who have a cult following amongst the Dilwalle youth audience of Delhi. On the panel was Gaurav Malvai, the heart-throbbing DJ and Sanjana Jon, leading fashion designer Still, it became an daunting task to choose just one amongst the three competing DJs, for they were, at the end of the day mixing the evergreen disco songs of our own, Bappi Da.

From here, the selected DJs of each city will finally get a one in a million opportunity, craved by every DJ composer – to perform live for a massive audience, with a living legend who has shaped disco music in India. ‘Mirchi mix’ is a nationwide DJ hunt presented by Kingfisher Strong Power Soda. The contest aims to bring the best out of the DJ`s as they are required to mix beats in a thematic contest, this year the theme being Disco. To fulfill their dream to make it big, young aspiring DJs were given the challenge to remix well known disco songs of Bappi Lahiri to give it a fresh spin.
Other than Delhi, the city finales was held in Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai & Lucknow.
