MUMBAI: After tasting huge success and winning bronze medal at Cannes Lion 2012 Awards for its first season, the melting pot of music culture ‘Dewarist’ is back in its second season with some fresh sounds.
The musical travelogue featuring unique collaborations will commence from 28 October on Star World at 8pm.
The new season will feature fresh collaboration with prolific musicians like Salim-Sulaiman, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Fink, Anouskha Shankar, Shaa’ir and Func, Trilok Gurtu, La Pongal, Piyush Mishra, Akala, Thermal And A Quarter, Ashwin Srinivasan, Adil and Vasundhara, Dualist Inquiry, Hari and Sukhmani, Asian Dub Foundation, Akhu, Mou Sultana, Nucleya and Brooklyn Shanti.

Once again to be hosted by collaborator and musician Monica Dogra of Shaa’ir and Func, the second season is said to offer varied musical experience as it will showcase travels to exotic destinations, nestled in the nooks of India. The musical travelogue initiated by Dewars, reflects the journey of inspiring musicians that culminate in the creation of music which is reflective not only of combined influences and genres, but also through the sounds and culture of their surroundings.
The first season created buzz as the Grammy award-winning artiste Imogen Heap walked the streets of Jaipur singing with Vishal Dadlani and was quite innovative and surprise to see such unique collaboration. The 10 week series was depicted to the audience through the journey of several artistes with Monica Dogra.
