MUMBAI: After a hiatus of two years, one of India’s oldest singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is back in a new avatar on Zee TV.
Schedule to launch on 29 September, the 2012 chapter will feature bollywood music composer duo Sajid-Wajid and Rock band Indian Ocean member Rahul Ram on its judging panel. The new format of the show is claimed to be a treat for music lovers from all age groups and nationality.
Confirming the news with Radioandmusic.com Wajid says, “Yes, I am one of the judges on the show and there is a new format in the show this year.”

Unlike the regular format wherein participants were judged on the basis of bollywood songs, the new format of the show will witness unconventional singing from the contestants. The three judges will also mentor the participants for the rounds.
The new format will also lend viewers an opportunity to evaluate the performances of the contestants. To participate, the entrants will have to upload their performance videos online and the entry will depend on the amount of traffic or likes that the video generates.
