MUMBAI: London Calling, the annual gathering of businesses and senior executives from the music industry around the globe, will be held on 19 and 20 June 2008. Senior executives, artistes and allied industry representatives from over 40 countries, including USA, Japan, China, India and France are expected to participate.
The first panel discussion of the event is ‘Live & Dangerous – The Live Industry View’ with caliber speakers like Music Week News Editor Ben Cardew, Tixdaq COO Will Waddington, Ticketmaster Senior Director Music Services Europe Vito Laia and more. The other highlight is a question and answer session with some of the finest industry figures on piracy, copyright, culture and ISP’s.
Topics like the future of mobile music, What is the value of music in the digital age, Making mobile music pay, The A&R Debate: are publishers the only real talent scouts left are some of the issues that will be taken up for discussion by the panelists during the two day event.
