MUMBAI: After facing a lot of controversy and speculations regarding its promos and music, Pooja Bhatt unveiled the film trailer and song promos of Jism 2 at an event held in Mumbai yesterday evening.
Present at the occasion were Pooja Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Randeep Hooda, Arunoday Singh, Dino Morea, Shagufta Rafique and Arko Mukherjee.
Speaking about the music of the film, Pooja Bhatt said, “The songs of the film perfectly encompass the emotions of the characters on screen. I have also given a lot of inputs in the music composition so that the songs blend with the story line of the film.”

Mukherjee performed on two tracks ‘Maula’ and ‘Abhi Abhi’ at the event. Comprising of seven tracks, the album features four tracks composed by Mukherjee while three have been scored individually by Mithoon, Pakistani band Rushk and Abdul Baasith Saeed.
This was the first official press event of Jism 2, which was hosted just a week prior to the release. “It is the brand ‘Jism’ that has its own significance and audience who will make my film successful. The film has been talked about since its first poster unveiled,” said Pooja Bhatt.
Composer Arko Mukherjee said, “I am really glad that the music of the film has already become such a big hit amongst the audience and I am really honoured that I got the opportunity to work with such a big director in my film. Witnessing the song promos become a viral success gave me a lot of encouragement as a newcomer in the industry.”
The film has earlier faced a lot of hiccups from the Censor Board when they blocked the release of its song promo on television, following which the makers opted for a digital release. Apart from that, another controversy had surrounded the film when the track ‘Abhi Abhi’ featured the credentials of Shreya Ghoshal instead of Akriti Kakkar on the album CD. Emerging victorious from all the battles, the film will now be released on 3 August 2012.
