MUMBAI: Sony has launched its ‘Music Unlimited’ service in Belgium and Netherlands, offering the service to 16 countries across the globe.
Users in both the countries can access wide repertoire of songs on multiple devices like PC, Android mobile devices, tablets, Sony Bravia HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc players, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and more.
Sony Network Entertainment International president Tim Schaaff said, “Growing our global subscriber base remains one of our top priorities. By expanding our global reach to new regions like Belgium and the Netherlands while growing our ecosystem of connected devices, we continue to address our goal of meeting the consumer wherever they may be and through the device they prefer.”
The service recently added offline playback to its android mobile app, enabling users to download playlists directly to their phones.
Launched in December 2010, the service features global catalogue of over 15 million licensed songs from independent labels and publishers worldwide.
Music Unlimited is already available in countries like Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States.
