MUMBAI: On the occasion of legendary lyricist and poet Kaifi Azmi’s 90th birth anniversary, Saregama launched â€?Legends – Kaifi Azmi’, a handpicked collection of maestro’s melodies.
â€?Legends – Kaifi Azmi’ is an epic compilation containing immortal songs of Kaifi saheb right from his first film Buzdil (1951) to Tamanna (1996). Kaifi Saheb, the true legend that he was, has penned some of the most immortal songs of all times.

Talented actress and daughter, Shabana Azmi launched the album along with Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Adarsh Gupta. Honoured guests for the event were Khaiyyaam Saab, Javed Akhtar, Baba Azmi, Tanvi Azmi, Ila Arun, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Shaad Ali.
The pack consists of the most memorable songs of Indian cinema like Waqkt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam Kagaz Ke Phool, Ye Nayan dare dare, Tum Jo mil gaye ho, Kar Chale Hum fida and Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho. Apart from memorable songs, this album is interspersed with voiceovers of Kaifi saab, Khaiiyaam saab, Lata Mangeshkar, Waheeda Rehmanji, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar.
