MUMBAI: Radio Mantra is back with the second edition of RJ-Giri, a talent hunt in Varanasi. The winner of RJ Giri will get an opportunity to work with station.
Registrations have already begun and the last date for the audition is 15 Oct. After the first phase of screening and auditions, Phase II will see shortlisted top eight going on-air from 18 Oct. Based on daily tasks contestants will fight out to save themselves and the bottom two candidates will be eliminated everyday.
This year also the station is primarily targeting college students in the age-group of 18-30. Radio Mantra national programming head Sameer Kanwar said, After the huge success of ‘RJ Giri’ season 1 we decided to make a comeback in Varanasi, where we continue our search for a great voice, full of life and attitude. We are happy that we have been able to provide the youth with a platform where they can showcase their talent. I hope, like last year, they will make most of it….
The contestants will be judged on general awareness, spontaneity, wit, sense of humor, overall personality and connect with the listeners. In the final phase, top three will compete in an on-ground extravaganza on 31 Oct.
