MUMBAI: Taylor Swift dominated the â€?Teen Choice Awards’ bagging six surfboard trophies including one of the biggest honours ‘Ultimate Teen Choice’, the show’s version of lifetime achievement award.
Other awards for the 21-year-old country singer are ‘Female music artist’, ‘Country female artist’, ‘Female red carpet fashion icon’, ‘Country single for ‘Mean” and ‘break-up song for ‘Back to December’.
Selene Gomez followed â€?Swift’ with five awards including ‘Choice TV actress’, ‘Female Hottie’, ‘Choice Single for â€?Who Says,” ‘Choice Music Love Song’ and ‘Choice Music Group’ for her band â€?The Scene.’
Justin Bieber picked four awards as ‘Choice male music artist’, ‘Male Hottie’, and ‘Twit’, and also won â€?TV villain’ award for his guest starring role in â€?CSI.’ Other multiple music winners included Eminem, Paramore, Beyonce, Lady Antebellum, Bruno Mars, Keith Urban, Katy Perry and Demi Lovato.
The Teen Choice Awards are an annual stop on Hollywood’s award circuit and gives recognition to actors, musicians and other artists who are popular with kids. The show was hosted by Kaley Cuoco from â€?The Big Bang Theory,’ and featured performances by Gomez, OneRepublic and Will.i.am.
