MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi, in association with Shemaroo, launched a Purani Jeans DVD, Maestros of Melody, on Friday in Mumbai. To celebrate the completion of two years by the show, RJ Anmol conducted it live from 9 pm to midnight from Landmark at Phoenix Mills in the company of music lovers and Purani Jeans fans. Through elements like antakashari, song and dance, the evening celebrated the golden era of film music.
The Maestros of Melody DVD features songs of 25 legends of melodies including SD Burman, RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Mohd Rafi, O.P Nayyar and others who have made themselves unforgettable with their eternal creations. The DVD also contains footage of RJ Anmol sharing unique stories about the music maestros.
Unveiling the DVD, RJ Anmol said, I thank all my fans for being with me on my journey with Purani Jeans throughout these two years. I thank my family for nurturing my love and passion for the golden songs of the retro era. …
