MUMBAI: On World Toilet Day, RED FM in association with Domex, which is the global sponsor of World Toilet Day, initiated an awareness campaign on the importance of cleanliness and sanitization. Backed by an interesting on-air campaign, Domex and RED FM RJs bajaaoed the cause of cleanliness wholeheartedly on this station for expression.
The on air campaign was launched three days prior to World Toilet Day in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. In Mumbai, RED FM created two interesting on-air characters – TAPLOO and PAPLOO, impersonating as germs, spreading unpleasantness on RJ Neeil’s show – Tagda Teen (Mon-Sat 11am-2pm). To get rid of the germs, RJ Neeil introduced UFF YU MA – the most affable and informed character who knows how to get rid of the germs! The entire campaign culminated in an entertaining dual between the trio resulting in UFF YU MA and Domex defeating TAPLOO and PAPLOO
In Mumbai the campaign was supported by an on-ground activity undertaken on the 19th of November by a sanitization squad that was assigned at Sulabh Sauchalaya – outside Church Gate Station. This squad moved around the city in a Domex branded van.
Commenting on this association, B. Surendar, Senior VP & National Sales Head, Red FM said “We at Red FM are proud to be associated with Domex on this meaningful on air and on ground initiative to create awareness on the diseases spread through unclean toilets. For a station which believes in bajaoing issues which concern or affect people at large, being a part of a cleanliness drive on the WORLD TOILET DAY is obviously important!”
