MUMBAI: Red FM, the most popular radio station known for its â€?Bajaate Raho’ attitude kick started Navratri celebrations with the launch of the music CD – Red Raas. The CD is a collection of nine new Garbas that have been composed by the most popular composer duo of Gujarat – Shyamal and Saumil. This is the first time that a radio station has produced an album of original compositions promoting regional talent which was released today.
These Garbas have been crafted by some of Gujarat’s most talented music directors and lyricists, keeping in mind the evolving identity of the modern day Gujarati. Be it the obsession with food and social media or the â€?sau sara wana thashe’ attitude of Gujaratis, which is all reflected here set to tunes that blend in traditional and contemporary musical tones. The lyricists who have composed these garbas are Tushar Shukla, Mukesh Joshi, Rais Maniar, Mukul Choksi, Hiten Anandpara, Vinay Dave, Dilip Raval, Naishadh Purani and Shyamal Munshi.

RED FM will release around 3000 copies of RED Raas CDs across Gujrat. These CDs will be given out to listeners through on-air contests. Listeners will also get a chance to win the RED Raas CDs at the Navratri pandals.
