MUMBAI: As Delhi Government prepares for the Common Wealth Games, Delhities brace themselves for grueling times on the road and in traffic! Fever 104 FM has launched a massive drive – â€?Games Sambhalegi Sarkar- Traffic Sambhalega poori Dilli ke saath – Fever 104!’ whereby citizens of Delhi can enroll as Fever Traffic Volunteers and help out during CWG. This robust network of Traffic Volunteers will help Delhites take those lesser known but much needed â€?patli-galis’ to their destinations.
Fever plans to partner with the Delhi Traffic Police on one hand and Hindustan one of the leading hindi dailies in Delhi/NCR to help ease the traffic woes of Delhities. Fever 104 FM plans to ease its listeners’ woes during the upcoming Commonwealth Games by frequent traffic updates powered by ordinary Delhi citizens calling in and warning others of approaching jams and informing Fever listeners of much needed and lesser known alternative routes- patli galis. The traffic situation during the games will be a very uncomfortable experience for most Delhites. As a part of the campaign, Fever 104 FM appeals to the citizens to do something extraordinary in the history of the city. Fever 104 FM’s RJs along with 4 million fever listeners will join hands to manage the city’s traffic from 1 October to 14 October. Fever 104 FM’s RJs and listeners volunteer to be FTVs – Fever Traffic Volunteers, who will volunteer to report any important traffic situation during the games.
The campaign will hit on-air with listeners being invited to be a part of FTV- Fever Traffic Volunteers. The volunteers have to sms the location they are ready to volunteer from. Thereafter, the action intensifies with time to time updates on traffic volunteers from different parts of Delhi. Fever 104 FM RJs will be on ground and on the streets as they go out and man key traffic junction dressed like traffic policemen. Post the successful culmination of the campaign, a grand ceremony will take place where the FTVs will be awarded with medals.
