MUMBAI: Upcoming song Phurr from Jab Harry Met Sejal has been creating a lot of buzz, but not many know it’s behind the scene story. The international collaboration between Pritam and Diplo started with a conversation between the two. This led to Diplo sending some tracks and the ace composer creating Phurr.
“We met somewhere last year and he gave us a bunch of tracks saying that we could choose any of them. They were just instrumental tracks without any composition or melody. Imtiaz (Ali) shortlisted one track, he felt that the production and vibe of the track will go very well in a particular situation. So, I had to compose the song on the instrumental Diplo had made,” stated Pritam.
When Pritam was done with the song’s composition, Irshad Kamil suggested the phase Phurr and this song came beautifully together. Later, singer Mohit Chauhan and additional vocalist Tushar came on board to sing the track.

“Since the track and drop were in minor pentatonic, I had to keep the composition on that,” said Pritam.
