MUMBAI: Kapil Sharma recently struck gold while, shooting for Sony Entertainment Televisions’ ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
As usual Kapil was dressed to host his show, but this one was not just another show. It was a special one as the music maestro AR Rahman was going to be the guest for the day. Soon the camera began rolling and a fun filled conversation between the two started. It was all going smooth till a request from the musician caught Kapil off guard. So, what was this request?
The Mozart of Madras requested Kapil to sing, as he had heard about his singing talent. Initially Kapil was a bit shy, but later her obliged and sung the acclaimed Punjabi folk song ‘Heer’.

When asked about the same, Kapil in his witty style, shared, “I love singing. Whenever we are shooting and I get a chance, I sing my heart out. Also we have a lot of singers and composers who grace our show as guests. But on a serious note, I’m truly humbled that a music maestro like Rahman appreciated my vocal skills. It was very sweet of him to say that he will give me a song to sing.”
