Kelly, NINE on 91.9 FM made the heart of each college-goer spread its wing… and get ready to fly away… as it celebrated February – the month of roses, chocolates, teddies, hugs, kisses and love.
NINE on 91.9 FM in association with Vodafone Essar Company organized â€?DIL SE’ a ten day long talent hunt in the colleges of North Bengal. The preliminary rounds were held in the respective colleges and the final was held at a leading mall on Valentine’s Day. In keeping with the Vodafone tag line â€?Power to you’, students were given the power to vote for their favourite contestant. The voting response from each college was overwhelming. Live links were aired from the venue and the winners of the final got an opportunity of a live interview.
â€?DIL SE’ was an initiative by NINE on 91.9 FM to build camaraderie between the colleges and also to encourage healthy sportsmanship. The event also encouraged the students to resort to what they love doing the most to come out of the stress of studies.
The students performed with a lot of dedication and this bore testimony to the fact that if given a chance even the most introvert of a student would emerge from his/her cocoon and face the world.

Another page in the book of discovery of talent in this region was added on Valentine’s Day when NINE on 91.9FM joined hands to organize an evening of music and dance with a renowned hospitality organization. For the first time, Siliguri spent a romantic evening with Tritha, a singer/ performer of Bollywood fame and her team of dancers and lady DJ Riz. A perfect ambience had been set to celebrate the day of love and Tritha’s mellifluous songs added more romance to the air.
