MUMBAI: Radio Mantra has appointed Subhashis Roy as national sales head for their radio network spread over eight cities. In his last radio stint, Roy headed sales for Radio City.
Radio Mantra is concentrating on beefing up its sales operation and is in the process of cementing its sales team. A senior sales executive from Fever FM’s Delhi station would also be joining Radio Mantra soon.
Commenting on Roy’s appointment, Radio Mantra COO Narendra Tripathi asserts, He has a rich background in television and city and would be heading sales for our radio network. He was involved in below the line (BTL) activities at Radio City and would be taking care of it at Mantra….

Subhashis Roy would be reporting to Narendra Tripathi who would oversee the sales for the radio venture. Tripathi mentions that Roy would be concentrating on telecom, corporate clients and untapped sectors to boost its advertising.
At Radio City, Roy had joined the national sales team as Associate Vice President and Head – Key Markets, Sales. He handled key markets including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. At Radio Mantra, Roy has to tap advertisers in eight comparatively smaller towns spread across Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh
Tripathi opines, Although he has worked in metros, Roy with his expertise will handle independent retailers efficiently. Also, he comes handy with his experience at NDTV’s Metro Nation based in Delhi where he dealt with retailers…. Driving the development of new business opportunities in these markets, Roy will lead the teams and develop innovative, compelling and high quality solutions for advertisers.
Subhashis brings with him extensive experience in media spanning with over 14 years in advertising sales and strategic planning spanning print, television, radio and digital space. His previous assignments include working with leading brands like NDTV Metro Nation, Business Today and Outlook Business among others.
