BANGALORE: The seventh edition of the annual Airtel â€?Bengaluru Habba’ 2009, in association with Kingfisher, brings to Bengaluru the best in performances across genres in the Habba Greats festival. From English theatre to Indian classical expressions, the Habba Greats festival features some of the most sought-after legends of our country at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, between 14 and 18 December, every day from 6.45 pm onwards
Also, during the Karnataka Greats Festival, Ambedkar Bhavan will see the myriad cultural manifestations of Karnataka by master performers like Prof. Venkateshkumar, Master Hirannaiah, C. Aswath, Keremane Shivananda Hegde and Shridhar and Anuradha Shridhar. All Karnataka Greats shows are scheduled for 7 pm onwards

Mysore Nagaraj and Mysore Manjunath (Carnatic Violinists- Dec 18) – Amazingly gifted violin maestros, Dr. Mysore Manjunath & Dr. Mysore Nagaraj are among the brilliant violinists in the annals of Indian Classical music. Their exceptional musical talents were first revealed at the tender age of nine when they stormed into the music world and swept music lovers & critics off their feet by their extraordinary musical acumen and technical virtuosity. Acclaimed as child prodigies with astonishing musicianship, Nagaraj and Manjunath blossomed into leading instrumentalists on the contemporary musical scene.

â€?C Aswath (Sugama Sangeet- Dec 15) – C. Aswath is a household name in Karnataka. A graduate in Science from the Bangalore University, he worked with Indian Telephone Industries for 27 years before retiring as an Executive Engineer in 1992. He started his musical career as a disciple of Devagiri Shankararao Joshi in Hindustani Music and is, perhaps, the only Music Director in Karnataka, to have carved a niche of his own in all three fields that demand music as an element of expression: Theatre, Sugama Sangeet and Film.
�Prof. M. Venkateshkumar (Hindustani Vocal- Dec 16) – Prof. M. Venkateshkumar is gifted with a mellifluous, robust and vibrant voice, rich in tradition and deep in devotion. His vast experience and deep-rooted commitment has made him a name to reckon with in the field of Hindustani Vocals.
