MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, India’s No. 1 FM Station and the radio initiative from Reliance Media World Ltd. has tied up with the year’s most awaited film – Vinod Chopra Films’ 3 Idiots, starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani. Launching an innovative campaign that has been tied back to the film, aptly titled â€?Sabse BIG Idiot’, were none other than Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman – the 3 Idiots from the film, promoting the film on the Station. The campaign, aimed at re-defining the word IDIOT, translates each alphabet, giving the word a whole new meaning – â€?Intelligent’, â€?Dazzling’, â€?Impressive’, â€?Outstanding’ and â€?Talented’. Through a very robust on air and on ground plan, BIG FM will use its network strength spread across 45 cities to find the Sabse BIG Idiot of India while ensuring people also register the all new meaning to the word Idiot.
The film, which sees a worldwide release on December 25, 2009, promises a meaningful film, a promise that Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan never fails to deliver to audiences on.
Giving an all new perspective to the word IDIOT, BIG FM will invite listeners to showcase their Idiocy The campaign goes through phases. It started with an on air concert, which saw Rajkumar Hirani, music director Shantanu Moitra, lyricist Swanand Kirkire and singer Suraj Jagan come together hosting an acoustic live session where they showcased the entire album and interacted with listeners across country. The next phase will see listeners nominating people they know, to battle for the title of India’s Sabse BIG Idiot The nominees then go through the short-listing phase by the RJs of BIG FM at the regional level, who will battle it out for the Sabse BIG Idiot title during the grand finale in Mumbai. The winner will not only get an opportunity to meet the 3 Idiots live in person but also get to watch the film premiere with the stars.
