BANGALORE: To keep the spirit of the coming festive season flowing, 94.3 Radio One, has tied up with EasyCabs and the Bangalore Traffic Police to kick off ‘Radio One For The Road” which will allow party-goers to tank up without the usual deadener – how to get home safe accompanied with a strong public message – ‘Party hard but Party safe ‘– Radio One-Shuttle.
Right through the month, â€?Radio One for the Road’ Branded EasyCabs will be ready at the call of all those who want to hold out a little bit longer at the hottest night spots in the city. The radio station has tied up with 12 night clubs for a duration of 1 club per week. All that party-goers need to do is register at the counter for the service and they will be dropped safely home on a first come first serve basis.
“Our message is simple: you drink and we drive,” said ROB Station Head Shyju Varkey. “The flip side to Bangalore’s active night life is the ‘drunk driver’, endangering innocent lives, along with their own. Bangaloreans definitely knows how to party hard but many are careless about the importance of partying safe. Going beyond the regular solutions like roadside searches and breath checks to deter people from getting behind the wheel after drinking, â€?One for the Road’ is a win-win idea for Bangalore’s party-goers. This way they get to enjoy their drink without endangering the lives of their fellow Bangaloreans,” added Varkey.
